Newsletter - November 11th

Star Class News
Week of November 11th

Thank you to everyone who came to the parent/teacher conferences. It is always nice to be able to sit down with each family one on one and talk about how wonderful your kids are and our goals for the year. If you were unable to make your scheduled appointment, Teacher Jo would be happy to meet with you one day after school.

New Schedule
This week our schedule is going to change a little, so it may take a few weeks for out kids to get used to the new outside time and snack time. Class time will still begin at 9:00 and end at 11:45, but our day while in class is going to change slightly. We will have the new schedule posted outside of our class.

Like Little Acorn Preschool and Kindergarten on Facebook
Our facebook page is going to become another means of communication for our school. We going to use it to announce school events, fieldtrips, regularly scheduled days off, etc. So if you would like another reminder, this is a great way to stay in touch with what is happening at our school.

February Fieldtrip Sign up
February 12th we are heading to NWCT to see Goodnight Moon. This year we are only going Wednesday, February 12th, so everyone is invited to attend. The cost is $5.00 per person. We need to how many people will be coming before winter break starts, so we will be setting out the sign in sheet this week. After your child's name please let us know how many tickets you will need. Please remember our school policy is that the teachers do not transport or supervise the children during fieldtrips, so you will need at least one adult per family. We will start collecting the money after our Winter Break.

November Family Fun Night
This month our Family Fun night will be a holiday “Make and Take” craft night. It will be on Friday, November 22nd from 5:30-7. This free event will include ornament making, reindeer food, cookie decorating, and photo booth. The whole family is welcome to come get a jump on holidays and spend quality time together creating crafts.

Bake Sale
November 25th and 26th we will have our annual Bake Sale during school hours. We will be taking baked donations to sell both days. If you aren't a baker, then you can come and buys some goodies for your family!

This weeks songs in the Star Class

Sorry but we will already be singing Christmas songs!! If you hear them at home, we know it is a little early but in order to have at least some of the kids sing at the Winter Concert we need to start singing them now. We won't put them in the newsletter so you can be somewhat surprised at the concert.
