Star Class News
Week of February 2nd
It was fun having class in our room last Monday, but we are still low in numbers so we will be returning to the Sunshine class this week.
Last week we had fun learning about how to take care of books and creating classroom stories. We will leave the stories outside our class so that you can have a chance to read them! Friday our Spanish lesson took more time then expected so we did not get to create a book, however we began introducing Colors in Spanish and had a great time working together in class.
Registration for 2015-2016
In -house Registration begins this week on Wednesday, February 4th at 9:15 in Jason Lee. Teacher Katie will be passing out numbers at 8:30. If your child comes that day, you can get your number then bring them down to class at 9. If you have specific days you need, we suggest you come in on Wednesday even if your child normally does not come in that day.
The age ranges for the classes you will be looking at are as follows: Busy Bee and Butterfly classes are 4 by September, the Dragonfly class is 4 by December. We will also have afternoon classes available for 4 year olds next year. This is a great way to get the children ready for full day the following year. We are asking that you provide a second choice for a morning class in class we have low enrollment.
Spread the Word
Our Open Registration starts on February 6th. The best way to get our preschools name out there is for our families to spread the word. If you hear of anyone looking for a preschool, please let them know what you think of our school and send them our way if you have had a good experience. We have a 2 ½ year old class, 3 three year old options, (Star, Sunshine and Dragonfly), 3 four year old options (Dragonfly, Busy Bee, and Butterfly), and a Kindergarten class.
Box Tops
We will turn in box tops by March 1st. Please bring any box tops you have and turn them in to the directors office or put them in our Box Top envelope hanging on our bulletin board.
This week in the Star Class
From now until Spring Break we will be focusing on different authors and illustrators that the children might know. This week we will start our until with the books written and/or Illustrated by James Dean focusing on one of our favorite characters Pete the Cat.
Word Wall
This week we will be continuing with the letter Oo for Owl or Olives. Your child can bring in an item that starts with the letter of the week and we will write the word out and put on our word wall. They can put their item in our pelican that is by the word wall.
