Newsletter - March 23rd

 Star Class News
Week of March 23rd

Last week we had fun learning with Eric Carle.  We creating our own Eric Carle textured paper and pictures, and some hand print caterpillars.  On Monday we attempted to make Gak (but failed miserably!)  We also had fun learning what we can do with Eric Carle's Head to Toe book and game!
Library Fieldtrip
We will be having our Library Field trips on  March 24th and 25th.  We will be meeting at the downtown library a little before 9:30.   We will be meeting in the lobby of the library by the stairs, but if you are running late just meet us in the children's section.  You are welcome to come to either of the Library days, or to both if you would like.  I will have a sign up out this week, please let me know if you plan on attend and what days so we know who to watch out for!

Just a reminder to our new families:
The pre-school has the policy that you, as parents, are responsible for transporting your own child to and from field trips. Teachers may not transport the children. If you cannot transport your child, then you may authorize another parent to do so. This needs to be done in writing.

Monday
Please remember our Monday group is now meeting in the Star Class.

This week in the Star Class

Five Little Crayons

Five little crayons colored a scene. (Hold hand up)
Yellow, blue, orange, red and green. (Wiggle each finger)
“Look,” said Yellow, “My sun is bright!” (Move yellow in a circle to make the sun)
Blue said, “Great! My river's just right!” (Wiggle blue back and forth to make a river) Orange said, “Flowers! I'll add some, too!” (Wiggle orange)
“Sigh,” said Green, “I'm tired of trees, (Hold up green)
And grass and bushes and tiny leaves.
I think I'll draw a big green cloud!” (Draw a cloud in the air with green)
“A big green cloud should be allowed!”
The crayons all smiled and didn't think twice (Wiggle fingers)
A big green cloud sounded rather nice! (Wave hand) .
