 Star Class News
Week of April 27th

It was so great to get back into our routine last week.  As the weather improves we will be heading outside.  We are unable to apply sunscreen to the kids so it might be a good idea to apply it before class starts.

 Penny Drive
In honor of a Little Acorn alumni, Grant Jensen, we will be holding a change drive for the next two weeks. The money raised here will be donated in Grant's name towards research to end childhood cancers, which took Grant's life too early. Grant attended Little Acorn and his grandmother was one of our teachers here. This family would be honored by having the Little Acorn family support this great cause!

Elevator
The elevator is only for families with strollers, or people who need physical assistance.  At no time should a child be in the elevator by themselves.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Flower Garden

The farmer plants the seeds
The Farmer plants the seeds
Hi, Ho and Cheery O
The farmer plants the seeds.
(Use the following verses.)
The sun begins to shine
The rain begins to fall
The plants begin to grow
The flowers smile at us

Flowers Growing Song

Have your children lay on the floor and curl up into balls.
Have them pretend they are tiny seeds buried in the ground.

This is the way we sprout our roots,
Sprout our roots, sprout our roots.
This is the way we sprout our roots,
When spring time is here.

This is the way we pop through the dirt,
Pop through the dirt, pop through the dirt.
This is the way we pop through the dirt
When spring time is here.

Additional verses:
This is the way we stretch and grow.
This is the way we shoot up so tall.
This is the way we open our buds.
This is the way we bend in the breeze.
This is the way we smile at the sun.
